He always looks like a waxworks facsimile of a human being.
If it wasn't reported stolen until after it was announced for auction, I'm #TeamSara.
A woman in one of my Facebook groups just got this. She has had several miscarriages and can’t carry a pregnancy. She actually knows someone with the name the card was signed with so she thought that woman was being a huge asshole for some reason.
This is a seriously awesome take after reading an article which directly explains the harm caused by the performers real names being public. Although, apparently the deranged people that target them are not at fault, it is on them for choosing that profession in the first place.
Yeah Princess Diana was a severely damaged woman and this story is a LOT darker when you remember she tried throwing HERSELF down the stairs when pregnant. These aren’t the cute anecdotes of a genteel English version of Dynasty - this is another example of potentially murderous violence in a family that learns how to…
I had a toxic and abusive mother (adoptive, not step) and I still think it’s wrong to push someone down a flight of stairs. It’s also illegal, which should at least be a hint that doing something is probably wrong in all circumstances.
There’s nothing off about this story. People idolize her as this perfect demure English rose, but Diana suffered from a variety of severe mental health issues. She had a history of temper tantrums and also once admitted to having thrown herself down a flight of stairs while pregnant in order to anger Charles.
This sounds pretty violent and horrible. Why are we treating it as a lighthearted anecdote? Did I miss something?
She did end up giving Mina Lioness a songwriting credit, though, which was good.
Ken Loach hits the nail on the head here:
I had the same thought initially. If he really had never heard it then I have to roll my eyes a little bit, but you’d think that if you’re a public figure being asked for your opinion on something that might be controversial that you’d ask the interviewer what their definitions and assumptions are on what that…
As someone who grew up in the middle of freakin’ nowhere, that fires thing is totally normal. Of course ‘really dousing’ stuff is just lazy, you should get a good fire going underneath whatever ridiculous thing you want to burn before you start.
Hot take: he’s not method acting; he’s just an asshole.
You have to wonder looking at the above photo....which head does he put into his rectum first?
My first thought was that the airlines don’t want to pay licensing fees anymore.
Well, a Swissair flight back in 1996 crashed because the entertainment system overhrated and caught fire so maybe it’s to do with the supporting hardware, especially if it’s been a cable of some sort to each headset along with the associated safety protocols as part of it. I imagine, especially the further back you go…

The anti-technological determinist STS lover in me wants to point out that there is a very interesting article by Pinch and Bijker, its a bit too academic, that discusses the social construction of technology through an examination of the bicycle. It basically looks at how changing social norms etc. impacted the…
