A woman in one of my Facebook groups just got this. She has had several miscarriages and can’t carry a pregnancy. She actually knows someone with the name the card was signed with so she thought that woman was being a huge asshole for some reason.

This is a seriously awesome take after reading an article which directly explains the harm caused by the performers real names being public. Although, apparently the deranged people that target them are not at fault, it is on them for choosing that profession in the first place.

Yeah Princess Diana was a severely damaged woman and this story is a LOT darker when you remember she tried throwing HERSELF down the stairs when pregnant. I had a toxic and abusive mother (adoptive, not step) and I still think it’s wrong to push someone down a flight of stairs. It’s also illegal, which should at least be a hint that doing something is probably wrong in all circumstances.

There’s nothing off about this story. People idolize her as this perfect demure English rose, but Diana suffered from a variety of severe mental health issues. She had a history of temper tantrums and also once admitted to having thrown herself down a flight of stairs while pregnant in order to anger Charles.

This sounds pretty violent and horrible. Why are we treating it as a lighthearted anecdote? Did I miss something?

She did end up giving Mina Lioness a songwriting credit, though, which was good.
