No matter who endorses it, Zumba is and always will be nerdy. The thing I love about Zumba is that everyone looks silly doing it. Everyone. The instructor, the super-buff gym bunnies up the front of my class in their tank tops - no one looks good or elegant or powerful. And that’s what makes it fun!

I think Mrs Maisel just about gets away with the slightly flat comedy by virtue of its setting - it’s far enough in the past that it largely comes across as dated and “daring for the time”. But it is hard to write stand up that’s both funny and serves the plot of a TV show.
