So everybody in Editorial is mad about this too. Besides the fact that it looks terrible, we have to actually work in Kinja all day long.

This is what happened when they put the rat in a WRX

I am very clear with the dealer within the first few seconds of the conversation, that I am not a broker, but rather a buyer’s agent who is paid by the customer. I do the shopping the customer buys the car directly from the store.

This is what fucking kills me. You’re whining about gas taxes (and showing a graph showing a $0.19 increase), but you don’t have anywhere near the highest gas taxes in the nation. 10 states have a higher price for gas than you do, and you’re only $0.05 more than the national average. Hell, the average price for gas in

I bought my first new car ever two weeks ago. I’ve owned roughly 10 cars but it’s always been craiglist deals or bought off forums.

That should happen everywhere. Consider yourself ahead of the curve.

Additionally, where’s the UAW on this? These are their members doing the attacking or intimidation as well as the victims.

Love my outback but dog barely fits.

It’s a wagon on stilts with a glut of plastic cladding. AKA a crossover.

Exactly. Calling the current gen Outback a wagon seems...a bit inauthentic.

Ok girls, put on your helmets and don’t tell your mother about this.

To be fair it’s because visibility is total crap when you’re behind a truck/SUV. So then others get a higher riding vehicle to see and block the view for even more people who then buy a higher riding vehicle.

And raise gas taxes a bunch. Then use the money to fix the roads and create more mass transit.

People can enjoy things all they want, right up until it’s actively harmful to everyone around them. Driving giant gas guzzling SUVs because it makes you feel like a bigger person is actively harmful.

Tax more vehicles that pollute more. Definitely an unpopular move but it works. (most) People do not care about the environment. They will start to care when it affects their wallet.

  1. Buy Subaru with no money down, 72-month, $1000/month loan

C4C has zero impact what-so-ever on the used car market. Anyone who thinks it did is just drinking koolaid and has never actually looked at the situation.

How often do you drive 500 miles in one go?

All this range anxiety is way overblown. The vast majority of people will be more than fine w/ 200 miles. Think about the fact that you can ‘fill up’ your car at home every night while you sleep. The worst you deal with is having one charge stop on a long trip, and who doesn’t stop for a rest when driving 300-400
