I already did: a 996.

I mean, they stopped making the STi and I stopped thinking of Subaru as a potential source for a new car. I don’t need to write it every time.

The hard-top has actual mounting points for a rack, though.

If I lived out there (and had the money) I’d have one with a set of snow tyres ready to go every winter. You could always save a /little/ bit by mounting them on steelies.

911 Turbo with roof rack is the correct choice.

Your example is a low-volume British SUV that had a base price of more-than $80k new in 2010! It cost more than a base 911!

lol. lmao, even.

I WISH houses cost as much as a Porsche.

I also remember the four times the first-gen had to go in for its comically-undersized clutch.

E46 M3 only came as a 2-door.

I would honestly push for the STi variant, too, as the FA20s are fine, but the EJ25 engines have 20-odd years of building and support. Plus, the STi’s AWD system and transmission are incredible, and the WRXs are only just fine.

Schäfer’s certainly “shepherding” VW out of “Diess” mess.
