I was riding passenger and tried to enter in an address on the touchscreen in my partner’s Forester and it locked me out of that, but WOULD allow me to drag my finger across the map to find our location, instead.

Neat, an entire fleet of vehicles with a 70-mile highway range.

I’ll choose one that might not get mentioned: always-illuminated gauges.

I went into their site expecting to see that and was honestly disappointed that they dropped the ball.

Not gonna lie: the new Prius honestly tempts me. It’s a really weird thing. Then again, I have been extolling their virtues as EXACTLY what they aim to be for years.

I don’t own a vehicle larger than a 2+2 and know this feeling. It’s honestly a lot like riding a motorcycle: Stay out of blind spots; don’t assume anyone sees you; if you can avoid it, don’t drive next to anyone; have an escape planned; etc.

Huge SUVs. Especially, but not limited to, the 4-tonne monstrosity that is the new electric hummer.

The handy thing about driving an ugly car is: you don’t have to look at it when you’re driving it.

There should be one in the toolkit, assuming it had the kit when he bought it.

Didn’t know about that, but can see it. Thanks!

So I joined you in 996 ownership recently (two years older than yours) and echo your statements about jack stands (I haven’t yet bought a bottle jack and all new stands, but it’s on the list), wheel bolts (whyyyy), the plastics (my stereo is at the sticky, gooey stage and I haven’t decided what I’m going to do about

No, you’re not.

She’s beautiful.

There’s a guy who makes good aftermarket cupholders for a number of turn-of-the-century German cars at ultimatecupholders.com

Got my car too recently to truly hate anything about it (though these damn cupholders are close).

Shit, everyone should know how to do at least a first-order adjustment of their headlights.

That’s the MSRP of a new Accord.

The FF is gorgeous, in sharp contrast to the 400. What a godawful shape.

Yeah, the adaptive headlights are a refinement of an already-robust inspection process in the EU which requires cars be correctly set up in order to be drivable. In the case of the US: it’s a band-aid.

I love driving along and pulling up to a stop light to see an F150 pull up behind me: it’s all headlights fully illuminating the cabin of my car. It’s not even lifted and I can see the entirety of their light pattern.
