This is a really underrated quality in a sports team. If they are going to finish, say, 4 - 12, it is much better if they start the season 1 - 6 so you know they are garbage as opposed to starting 3 - 5 and making you want to believe that if they just get a few breaks they might have a shot.

At one point before cutting the cord I would DVR Chargers games and use the “advance 30 seconds” button as soon as one play ended, would almost invariably jump right to the next snap. Was able to watch most games in 45 or so minutes without missing anything, even accounting for watching replay reviews and such.
