I recommend doing every dungeon with Trusts first. The AI will do the mechanics, so you’ll be prepared for when you play with genuine first-timers.

I recommend running each dungeon with Trusts the first time, at least. Partly for the added story, and partly for the practice.

Anyone else wondering if they might use this as an opportunity to make the original 1.0 story available to the masses who wisely skipped on the game itself?

-Swordland starts playing-

InnoLans and SecOps don’t have to be real for this to sound like a Black Mirror episode.

I’ll have to try this next time. I make grilled cheese sandwiches to go with my instant ramen all the time (usually a Nongshim Shin or Hot and Spicy bowl, but I’ve developed a taste for the longer-cooking udon-style Neoguri lately) but I’ve never been brave enough to try dipping the sandwich in the soup before. XD

Gazorpazorpfield (Savage)

All the same, I don’t remember any embarrassments like “The Holy is shining!” or “This guy are sick!” or “Safer Sephiroth.” I don’t disagree that all the PS1-era FF games could use at least a fresh coat of paint (does anyone know if the recent rerelease of FFIX fixes glitches like “Maliris” and “Hilgigars”?), but none

Yeah, but with a shitty translation made over 20 years ago. Every single other FF game has a better localization than FFVII now, even Tactics thanks to War of the Lions.

I’m gonna take this moment to be pedantic and point out that you could, in fact, block with the lightsaber in Super Empire Strikes Back.

I’ve tried a couple Beyond Burgers from Carl’s Jr. and they remind me a lot of Boca Burgers - not at all beef-like in terms of taste or texture but not bad at all. That said, I’ve heard impressive things about the Impossible Burger, and I hope they’ll start serving them someplace close by.

We’re probably going to get there eventually. The latest dev blog updates have been talking about how villains will soon be able to scheme and execute plots ranging from frame jobs to starting wars - and there are supernatural plots planned as well.

I think that’s maybe my favorite thing about Dwarf Fortress: its potential for procedural storytelling like this. Stories rising up out of game mechanics and human error (or design). XD

AND THEN URIST WAS A ZOMBIE

Water always wins.

I’ve yet to watch any of this but I’ll admit I refuse to buy another version of Final Fantasy VII until we can get one with a new, proper translation. It doesn’t even have to be the remake - I will take a straight-up port so long as someone goes over this game and gives it the new translation it needs.

First of all, not everybody plays games to get their asses handed to them repeatedly until they “git gud” (which they might never, for one reason or another). Some of us play for the story, and some of us are good at games overall but find that certain gameplay styles just don’t gel with us.

Is anyone else reminded of those little skits on Square One TV with the little cone people going to war with each other?

You know, you’re totally gonna have to update this article in four months once Shadowbringers comes out and we get a full assortment of Gunbreaker weapons for you to review.

Yes, but for gaming peripherals, which is their primary business.
