This list of competitors provided me with an exciting roller coaster of emotions, especially as a Fiesta owner. It went something like this.

To your point about skating around cars, I totally understand that. When I was a kid, my board shot out from under me while I was trying to do an ollie in the driveway. I landed on the board wrong and it flew straight into the tire of my parents’ minivan, luckily just missing the door panel, bouncing off harmlessly.

Sounds like the Jalopnik staff is a bit divided on this particular issue.

That’s a very good point. The DW12 is already a beautiful race car, and Dale Jr. already calls them fighter jets on the ground. It took to the aeroscreen much better than previous IndyCars would have. Like you said, I can’t wait to see what it looks like when Dallara plans for and designs it as an integral part of the

Oh, come on. It would have an actual cockpit to match the teeth! Here, I’ll mock one up for you.

I’m sure future Dallara IndyCars will have the aeroscreen planned for and integrated into the design from the get-go, and then they’ll look less up-right. But, I think it still looks great. Form follows function, in this case.
