If I have an actual button, a nice, round, physical button to press, then yeah. I’m going to press that thing more than a desperate lab rat begs for its cocaine water. But if it’s one of those boring ones with that thumb-detector bullshit, I’m good with one. I’m annoyed that I even had to press it at all. And that

I’m starting to feel like as long as humans are driving cars themselves, there can be no autonomous cars. If every car was autonomous and could talk to one another, and freeways, roads and city streets all had gigantic fences around them to keep pedestrians and wildlife out, then autonomous cars could become a

*Hoists freak flag*

“And now, we’re taking you LIVE to the drift event out in Beggar’s Canyon on the desert planet of Tatooine. Boy, does Sebulba’s Corvette really looked dialed today, eh, Kolbar?”

I’ve watched it several times now, and it’s actually gotten to the point in my mind that I can’t really believe that it isn’t a game. Is this just what happens when you get a really good drone pilot, a really good racecar driver, and a somewhat low-res recording?

I’ve been meaning to make it up to the Lake Superior Performance Rally in the UP at some point, but I never end up planning the trip. Looks like an awesome time.

Aw, man. I got excited when I read your classic “A Message from Our Lawyer” headline. I always enjoyed reading your takes as they’re always unique and fun. Thanks for all the great columns!

Dang, you are not messin’ around today.

Somebody should make a kit to create an Escape RS. I’d mock that up, but I lack the Ps skills.

And the world is probably a better place for it lol. Though it did make a great college dorm-room prank.

Must... not type... the meatspin dot com link...

Yeah, and it’s a damn shame. I mean, I doubt many of the classic road coarses in the US could handle the crowds of an F1 race, either. For example, I’d love to see an F1 race at Road America, too. But it’ll never happen. At least I get to watch IndyCar run there every year.

It is, now!

Because they’re happier.

Ik it’s not in New Mexico, but Laguna Seca would certainly fit the bill. Sand? Check. Wind? Idk, I’ve never been there lol

I think what we learned from this is F1 needs to throw sand all over the place at every race and install wind generators at every track. Don’t think that’s unreasonable at all.

The argument against DRS also feels like an extremely elitist position to take. Like, what do you want F1 to do? The fans complain that there’s no passing. So they introduce technology to make more passing. But that’s not good enough, because now it’s fake passing.

Tyler. Tyyyler. TYYYYLER. TYYYYYYYLLLEEEEERRRR. Get out and drive it just because you can.
