I like to cook boneless skinless chicken breasts in the microwave, and shred it for chicken salad. I cook it in a covered casserole dish (actually a pyrex bowl with a lid tbh) with the pieces arranged around the edges so that none of them are in the hot-spot. I actually use the auto cook button for chicken pieces and

Team Dennis on this one! Honestly I was really surprised when I heard about the dish eggs in purgatory. I tried it, it was ok. I didn’t really love the mix of tomato sauce and eggs but it was interesting. Diced tomato in an omelet or breakfast burrito? Sure, ok. The cold sweet acidic Heinz angle though, I get that.

Well she had a penchant for repainting things she couldn’t replace. The mailbox that came attached to my new house was a janky POS but it was a weird size that fit by the door. So after months trying to find a replacement I liked, I simply cleaned it up and repainted it. Here’s a side-by-side. Note that my front door

Clean House was my favorite, and where I know Niecy from. She was even basically the guest on an episode, they went to her Mom’s house and helped her own family!

I liked that the show worked on a pretty realistic budget. Usually Niecy would add 1 sponsored element to the show like she would get the advertiser provided

For a while the classic ‘whack the ball of flavored chocolate’ proliferated into many variations including milk chocolate + raspberry and dark chocolate + key lime. I guess they burned out and shrank the product line back, and now have to ID this as “Chocolate Orange Style Treat BUT: mint chocolate”. Questionable move

Well I had been craving sushi ... maybe I’ll just get a California roll.

Dennis for the win.

I got it stuck in my head for a couple days... but now that you describe it that way do you think he made it with the intent of adding remix versions to jazz it up later? I mean if he can get any members of BTS to dress up as elves, that justifies everything.

RIGHT? The joke was that he used Alexa for grocery shopping and she bought the chain last time...

Hm. I wonder...
Jeff Bezos “Siri, buy all of Taylor Swift’s early albums.”
Siri: “Ok I bought the masters to Taylor’s first six albums.”
Jeff Bezos: “Oh geeze it’s Whole Foods all over again...”

If you include spinach too, the situation is markedly more concerning. I think that the problem stems from so few commercial farms (mostly in California) growing all this produce. Contamination at 1 site affects a lot of the market. Really growing lettuce in a pot should be easy but it’s a struggle for me.

The way romaine gets contaminated so often I feel like I really need to step up my salad greens efforts in next year’s home garden.

I tried the apple fritter the other night. I thought it was pretty good, at the upper end of a grocery store bakery apple fritter. B+. However, it was pretty small and cost $2.29. I can go to the local family bakery which has a drive-through and for $1.20 get a 50% larger and 35% tastier fritter so... I guess it’s ok

Not to mention the tasty tasty sauce that comes in two spice levels: yes, and no.

Well it’s an investment. You know you can engage in trade with the corvids. They’re that smart. If nothing else it could be good will money.

I’m going to guess that hash brown casserole is AKA cheesy potatoes, a casserole-like mixture of shredded potato, cream soups (usually 1 cream of celery and the other cream of mushroom but substitutions are valid), just enough milk to thin the soups, onion, sour cream, and a lot of cheese. My experience is a a

I liked that she also mentioned charitble donations as an option. If you like a streamer and say they’re known for supporting some charity even if it’s local no-kill animal shelters, saying “You inspired me to donate $50 to the Humane society!” might be really appreciated.

There’s actually a nonfunctional ceiling fan right about above the spot a person would stand to cook but it just vents into the attic. In my 1-story house, it sounds like that would have been something good to keep functional!

That sounds great, I would try that! I’d love to get my hands on wasabi. Lately I’ve been thinking gochujang might be good but I’m mostly familiar with its flavor from making the sauce for bibimbap with it. I need to engage in deviled egg making lab.  OH and I suppose it goes without saying curry powder is a nice

So English mustard is actually hot? That’s very interesting. The most common version in the US is a bright yellow type made of little more than ground mustard seed, vinegar, and a bit of paprika, salt, and pepper.
