It may be an ad? My vet put my cat on a diet of specially formulated DRY food that treated his food intolerances. There are also dry foods that have dental hygiene benefits. This “anything is...” statement is factually incorrect, and frankly this item should NOT HAVE BEEN RUN.

I know this is how you’re supposed to do it, but it never works for me. I’ve given up and gone to Nadiya Hussein’s technique: I put my breakfast burrito fillings in a pan like an omelette and throw the cheese on top and then add the tortilla so it bakes like an upside down pizza (then I flip it to brown the tortilla).

Wild! Thanks for the explanation.

Oh I kept mine under the car seat where it would be hard to get to while driving but accessible if I was in a ditch.

I have a baking sheet that looks like that... I have moved it over to crafting purposes. I now use it when I’m doing candlemaking to catch any splashes or runoff from pouring.

My glib, but slightly serious answer to this is: a metal tin of Danish butter cookies. If you’re stuck they’re practically pure fat and sugar and they’ll definitely keep all winter. Then when the snows are gone you can crack open this final tin of the holiday faves... of course a full emergency kit is great too. But

You could give them the inferior version with white chocolate. ;)

One time I did it with peppermint flavoring added to white chocolate, it was actually quite good too.

Haystacks - 1 package each semisweet morsels and butterscotch morsels. Nuts optional but we usually used peanuts.

I’m really confused. I thought “almond bark” was specifically the thin sheets of white chocolate with almonds sprinkled on or even a dab of almond extract flavoring in it. I have never heard “almond bark” used synonymously for white chocolate or white candy coating. I’ve heard white chocolate pretzels for instance,

I’m ok with gift cards that are offered as proxies “I wanted to get you the new book by X which isn’t out yet, so here’s a gift card to the book store I know you usually shop at!”.

For this though, POSSIBLY a prepaid credit card if for some reason you can’t handle cash. (But they can often have fees or have the balance

Yes but Dennis sounded like this was ALL new to him.

Wait, you’re just learning about this strategic reserve now? Did you not hear about it when the maple syrup strategic reserve was stolen??https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Canadian_Maple_Syrup_Heist

The one I found uses about 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup, and 1/4 cup water as the moisture. It’s a good recipe... except it uses baking soda and doesn’t have enough acid to neutralize it and leaves a metallic aftertaste. I solved that by changing the recipe to use 1/2 tsp baking soda and 2

Darn! Brown sugar was the item I left off my shopping list. I didn’t have any the other day when I was cooking squash and I had to substitute Pumpkin Spice marshmallows instead. (Yes, really. Now I’m down half a bag and can’t make a double batch of PS Rice Krispy treats for game night.)

I came across a whole wheat, lower in sugar banana bread recipe during the pandemic and now I’m kind of hooked. The whole wheat gives it an earthiness, the banana goo I add in adds flavor and some sweetness. The low amount of sugar - either honey or maple syrup, no granulated at all - makes me feel it’s healthy (haha

I have literally gotten chain pizza with instructions for in-box reheating.

Of course, it’s much better if you use a nice hot cast iron frying pan! You can get the crust oven toasty again.

The one in my city always seemed reasonably busy. It closed without warning years ago and I never knew why. I personally liked it a lot. At the time I was having a lot of issues with my appetite hormones being out of whack due to undiagnosed sleep apnea. While it wasn’t the greatest food, being able to go in and

I don’t get it myself. If the mint or chocolate flavor is cheap and/or the balance is bad that can be nasty yes. But good chocolate mint is sublime. I once made a mint-chocolate trifle using chocolate angelfood cake, mint chocolate pudding, crushed mint oreos, dark chocolate and mint chips, and chocolate cream cheese

Right! Even if you cut it, it may not have that “skin” that is an even texture for frosting, especially if it’s a very soft cake.

This, but also flipping them upside down if the dome is mild.
