Just here to say I picked up Stone's latest batch of "Enjoy by" IPAs—the 9.4.17 batch—and it was fantastic. Could be because it was only bottled 4 days ago, but man, it was so good.

I'm reading "Nature's Metropolis" right now—it's about the rise of Chicago—and I am really enjoying it. I am also dipping my toes in Marcel Proust's "In Search of Lost Time." I am halfway through Swann's Way, and I am continuously amazed by Proust's writing and insights, but holy moly is the length of the entire novel

Rolling Stones during the Mick Taylor era, ideally during the Sticky Fingers tour.

This was one of the first CDs I ever bought—I still remember picking it up at a Costco in San Diego—so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I am sure it has been said somewhere in this massive comment thread, but David Gilmore's solo on "Time" is mindblowing. It sounds like the universe is exploding.

Sounds like the cause of death is superunknown.

I got this on Emusic years ago. Great album, but it's not impossible to find.

The lowest point in my drinking career was playing beer pong in college with Beefeater and root beer because we didn't have any beer or any other liquor. I have rarely touched gin ever since that mistake, except for the occasional g&t.

I recently had "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in my head for 2 weeks. Now that I type this out I can hear the song creeping back into my head…

I didn't see any reference to Holocaust Centers.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but I cannot get into Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly." I "get" why it is so acclaimed: the production is great, the songs are sequenced perflectly, the rapping is fantastic. It just feels cold, and it does not connect with me in any way.

I'm traveling to Barcelona/Madrid in a few weeks, so I am in the middle of an all things Spain binge. I read Don Quixote a few weeks ago, am in the middle of rereading Homage to Catalonia now, I keep dipping in and out of James Michener's "Iberia," and I hope to read the Shadow of the Wind before I leave.

This is pretty hardcore

I love this show and I have no idea why.

I'm finally tackling Don Quixote ahead of my upcoming trip to Spain. I struggled to get through part 1—it was too unfocused and episodic—but part 2 is amazing so far.

What does Gdynia, Poland have that the entire Mid Atlantic does not have? Besides a Radiohead concert.

The release of Hardywood Gingerbread Stout and its bourbon/rum barrel variants is one of the best times of the year for this Virginian.

Just here to say I listened to "Another Green World" for the first time in years last night, and it was still transcendentally beautiful. "The Big Ship" hits me like a ton of bricks, every time.

I'm all for an inane Breitbart-led controversy about global warming if it means more Kait Parker.
