I do bbq sort of like that. I'll have something fairly inexpensive like burgers or sausages, plus sides, but also tell people if they feel like something fancier and want to bring their own steak or chicken I'll grill it for them. It lets finicky people be happy.

Hey - I know I'm way late to this, but this happens to me too, and it also did to my grandmother. We'd kill the batteries in watches and the watch itself. I wear a mechanical watch now and it works fine.

This is well put. I REALLY wanted to be a home gardener and grow my own food. I’m in Canada and far north enough that the frost-free season is short so the odds were against me anyway but I wanted to try so I could avoid the Evils of Corporate Food. I must have spent $500 on lumber to build the bed, getting load of

HAHA yes. My hubby’s been washing with bright green Irish Spring his whole life. He buys a giant pack of it once a year at Costco along with the big-ass bottle of Head N Shoulders.

Oh sorry I just had more replies show up and realized a zillion people already told you about Skimmies before I did. They're that good. I learned about them on a Jez thread last summer. I bought 3 more this summer on all different colours.

I'll second the recommendation for the Jockey Skimmies. They solve all chafing problems, they are light weight enough that I don't mind them under dresses, and they smooth out a little bit. They don't compress like Spanx but they keep my cellulite from being visible through lightweight dresses.

Me too. And I use a front load HE washer. I have some sports equipment that builds up stink with repeated use, but washing it solves that. I throw a little enzyme cleaner (the stuff made for pet messes; breaks down anything biological) when washing sports gear (pads and such) but clothes just get regular detergent.

I actually keep the jackets of all my suits in my office in a IKEA wardrobe thing. Go to the office in the bottom half of the suit with cardigan, swap to jacket for court, swap back.

Hi!! Also a litigator. But some recent changes in my local courthouse procedures have shaken down into that I now have definite court days and non court days. (I used to live with a good likelihood of going to court every day). And I’m in a small firm, so dressing more casually is ok for non court days. Court days are

Asking for consent doesn’t have to be dry or unsexy. “Do you like that? Want some more? Want me to touch your (whatever)?”said in the right tone of voice, looking into her eyes... downright hot.

Timely. I just bought a custom dress from an Etsy seller and took a bunch of measurements. Slowly realized the chest and bust measurements do not really correspond to the bra size I've been wearing. I was fitted! Honest! So what if it was 15 years ago and I'm not wearing the same size in any other piece of clothing as

Yeah. In the book they made specific mention of a big snow fall and they jumped into a big deep drift of snow. But TV didn't deal with that.

The gender studies class I took in undergrad had exactly one guy. Who took it because he’d taken other classes with the professor (she also taught history) and he said he’d keep signing up for whatever she taught because she was a great teacher. She was. And dude was a good sport about it. Participated respectfully

Yes! I’m way late but in case the original poster is still reading, I came to say that making friends as an adult is just like dating and you have to do the same kind of thing. When I was in a similar spot in life at pretty much the same age, I really wanted more female friends my age, and people told me to join

This is why religious polygamists in Canada (rare, but they exist) are generally left alone. If prosecuted, they could likely successful argue that any prohibition on polygamy is unconstitutional, based on the same legal principles that have long allowed gay marriage in Canada. No one wants to open that can of worms.

Seriously. I thought I was forever done with them but ended up being assigned one in freaking Law School. And I was stuck in a group with the flakiest person in my class (who ended up flunking out). I went into full cover-ass mode, told professor I was not allowing my GPA to be wrecked by getting assigned to a shitty

My chiro is awesome. But there’s nothing woo-woo about my guy, it’s all physical adjustment. I had a bad fall skiing once, wrenched my neck and had a headache for 3 days with no relief. Went to chiro, he adjusted me and the headache started to fade right away and was gone in an hour. I have a lot of hobbies that

When I was young and poor, my doc told me he’d give me as many “trial samples” of birth control pills as I wanted, for as long as I wanted. I suppose it is up to the individual doc but mine was certainly willing.

BC has a small premium to pay for your provincial coverage, usually covered by your employer, and with options to get it waived or reduced below a certain income threshold.

This is the answer they are amazing I have 2 pair but going back to get every colour
