Me love Anson Mount as Pike so much me sometimes get distraught while watching show at thought of how he end up. (And me not know why me reluctant to give spoiler for 50-year-old TV episode, but here we are)

To you. It doesn’t feel like Trek to you.

I would be severely disappointed if this all turns into a Borg origin story. Especially since Enterprise already did a time traveling Borg story (following up First Contact). But at least Enterprise’s usage makes sense within the context of previous episodes/movies (aside from the contrivance of never having them

Yea “struggle is pointless” sort of did it for me too. Despite some of the weird writing throughout the past 2 seasons, I feel like that’s a line they really wanted in there.

Control’s line “Struggle is pointless” does kind of nudge-nudge at the Borg, doesn’t it?

I’m happy (and surprised) to see that as the top-starred comment. People these days LOVE shitting on old games and other media, and I’ve heard a LOT of hate regarding the writing in BL2 in recent years. My wife and I found BL2 (and the related TellTale series) to be among the funniest games we’ve ever played. Ashley

You know what actually would have made this episode actually watchable? If the Michael’s active participation of the plan to use herself as bait to trap the Red Angel was inverted. What if she was completely unaware of that plan? With Spock, Pike, and Section 31 plotting behind her back, knowing the only way to trap

I’m still waiting for Spock’s brother, Sybock, to make an appearance on Discovery and retcon why Spock never mentions him or his sister Michael. Mark my words, it will happen.

You pretty much just described Ant-Man.

Carol saying she didn’t have to prove anything to Yon-Rogg was the moment where I had to stop myself from pumping my fist in the air.

The Dormammu “battle” in Dr Strange is excellent. I remember literally shock laughing in the theater when I realized where exactly they were going with it.

Ezra Miller is decent actor, but he is not Barry Allen. Huge swing and a miss.

The late Kevin Smith (the other one!) was a superior Ares, I agree

It’s bizarre the “Wonder Woman checks her email” scene was left in (same goes for the “Future Flash wakes up Bruce from a nap”). It’s an extended Easter Egg for the Franchise that’s dropped right in the middle an already overlong finale. Any Editor could see it (further) derailed a slog of a movie.

I wanna give Cavill a shot at playing Superman in a good movie. I think he’d be fine.

The stupid thing was they didn’t need to rush things. That scene in BvS where Diana is watching the computer files of the various future JLA’ers that Lex was monitoring, seemed so stupid.

Not a chance he re-teams with Nicole Perlman. She was pretty damn upset over how much Gunn took ownership of the film when it was her script to begin with. Anyway, she has story credits on Captain Marvel, Detective Pikachu, and is co-writing the new Labyrinth, so at least she didn’t get totally screwed over by

I think that’s one element, but another is that Wonder Woman’s central thesis (that War, as an external force embodied by an immortal god with an absolutely fucking ridiculous stuffy-old-man moustache that has no business being in flashbacks from thousands of years ago, is really behind the evil in all men’s hearts)

“I’m Mary Poppins y’all.” And cue tears....

I was 39 when Toy Story 3 came out, and cried like I was 12 during this
