I suck at smash and I haven't even unlocked everybody, but Peach is my main so this headline made me happy.

The last one was in 1989 when producer Allan Carr decided to do a now-infamous musical number featuring Rob Lowe and Show White that lasted for a torturous 11 minutes.
Spider Man was way, way better than Aquaman.
I didn’t think we’d be finding ourselves in a situation where the latest Spider-Man movie is a more heartfelt and affecting piece of cinema than the latest Pixar film, but here we are.
Reminder that in the MCU Uncle Aaron is played by Donald Glover...I really hope they do something with that at some point.
I still can’t believe how good this movie is.
To be fair, you can’t truly be Spider-Man unless anyone who knows you for more than 5 minutes turns out to be a supervillain.
The problem with the DMCA is that you don’t have to actually prove anything to have it enforced. That’s why SCO was taken down even though Paul and Fred haven’t actually won the case yet. The benefit of the doubt is always given to the party filing the DMCA takedown notice, even if it ends up having no merit. On top…
Owning the trademark for the name doesn’t automatically grant you ownership of any copyrights associated with the IP, though. And this suit appears to be over copyrights only, not trademarks. They may win, but definitely not because they own a trademark.
The Arilou are indeed still in the game. They don’t name themselves the Arilou (or anything else), but they are still a species based on the grey aliens like the original Arilou. That in of itself might be ok, but they also give themselves the same backstory of being from “outside” normal space and their theme music…
There’s no thief in the night situation. No one stole anything. Stardock bought Atari and gained the rights to all the IP it owned. Unless those 2 can come up with a valid reason they owned the rights and not Atari then Stardock absolutely will win this case.
Check out the original documents that Reiche and Ford have submitted to the courts of the agreement they had with Accolade (that would have transferred to Atari). It’s pretty clear that Reiche and Ford DO own everything in the Star Control universe outside of the name - Accolade even paid them royalties for Star…
Reiche and Ford did not initiate this lawsuit. They made no moves against Star Control Origins until after Stardock/Wardell filed suit against them over their announcement of Ghosts of the Precursors.
Noel Fielding is definitely the best part of the sadly inferior remodeled GBBO/S. Short of bringing back the original team, they need to get rid of Paul, replace him with Prue since they both fill the same bad cop role, but she’s less insufferable, and get someone a bit more gentle to balance out the critiques (which…
Ketogenic diet is excellent for managing diabetes, too.
Thats pretty unfair to Stardock.
Yes, Richie and Ford could have purchased it back from Stardock.
Nah sorry, Wardell is clearly in the wrong here and he knows it based on the court filings.
“Why don’t you just pay the ransom to the thieves who took your intellectual property?”
This one is a complicated issue and tbh both sides have been a bit scummy. Stardock bought the trademark but it’s likely that Ford & Reiche still own the copyrights. What those copyrights cover and what Stardock actually bought from Atari is in question (Signs point to the license agreement from Ford/Reiche to Atari…
