Nintendo has done backwards compatibility things other than the Virtual Console, similar to what Sony has done in the past as well. The Wii could play GameCube games (and had GC controller ports on top), the Wii U could play Wii games. The GameCube had an add-on that let you play GameBoy or GameBoy Color games. The

R U Talkin’ R.E.M. RE: ME?

While that is a slur, hebephilia is an actual psychological condition. It comes from the Greek god Hebe, (Heb-eh) who was the protector of youths and pubertal children.

Watching fossils screech about Nancy in comic comments pages has been a truly unexpected pleasure of 2018. I would never in a million years have imagined that so many people were so bizarrely attached to a comic as banal and insipid as Guy Gilchrist’s Nancy.

Let’s just say your hitless streak continues...

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: The real missed opportunity for Universal came back in 2000. Instead of adding an annoying kid and running back the same-but-terrible Mummy Returns, they should have taken that winning Fraser/Weisz/Hannah trio and churned out a franchise of Indiana

Also the shrink trying to make things right with the couple fighting on the street, and the newspaper man and the kid reading the comics hugging each other in their last moments... those were heroic, beautiful actions that (whether they were effective or not) showed how capable people are of doing unselfish things.

I almost exclusively play Civilization games in single player or hotseat mode. I’ve only had a few satisfying games of Civilization in multiplayer, and none of them have been online match play.

It’s almost like there’s an entire single player experience..

From Hell the worst? I think someone is forgetting about a little film called LXG...

Sir, this is an Arby's.

The sex scene was hilarious but I don’t think Snyder intended it that way. He just slavishly chose the absolute wrong song for fidelity’s sake.

I really don’t understand people who say the squid ending wouldn’t work. It is, in Adrian Veidt’s insane logic, a pretty brilliant solution to the Mutually Assured Destruction problem: unite all warring nations against an imagined enemy. What’s so hard for audiences to understand?

I feel like the Wachowskis got the comic but were trying to take the framework and tell a different story.  Snyder,  not so much

I’ve come to terms with the Wachowski Sister’s changes to V for Vendetta. Mostly because they updated the story to from a criticism of Thatcher to a criticism of Bush.

I was so worried it would just end up being The Emoji Movie with better character designs.

This is a very boring take.

What an exacting and insightful takedown of a movie you maybe haven’t seen!

Trailers for animated/family movies are rarely much good. Paddington looked bad in the trailer. A lot of early Pixar trailers weren’t much good beyond the shorter teasers that had no material from the actual movie. I don’t think trailers are all that reliable in general, but with this stuff they seem particularly so.
