I wasn't sure exactly what she was talking about, but I assume EGR means that she is outside of the statute of limitations for BOTH a civil cause of action relating to the rapes and any criminal prosecution. Either way, I don't like "a way around it" because it makes it sounds like she's doing something shaaaady, and

I'm not ordinarily like this, but I just don't like the implication that she did something wrong by filing this suit. She didn't sneak around some loop hole.

She didn't "find a way around it," though. This is just the way the law works. Defamation is its own separate cause of action, with its own separate damages, and its own statute of limitations. She wouldn't be able to sue him for if he didn't commit an additional tort.

An acquaintance of mine invited us to go to dinner with him and his wife at the most expensive restaurant in town for his birthday. It's kind of weird, actually, but we didn't feel like we could say no... so we are going. Will try to enjoy the steak I'm dropping $75 on.

You own a Little Caesars? Please let that be true. I love the idea of an owner of a shitty franchise of a shitty restaurant chain lambasting a lawyer that they are "better than her."

ESPECIALLY American Apparel's. Just look at their website. But not while you are at work.

I know, I know. And who knows what I'd actually do if I needed the money. But still. Fucking gross. There's a lot of places that could love a kid like him.

A brief view of their website shows me they haven't discontinued any of their rather gross practices, though.

There is no way in hell I'd let my kid model for American Apparel.

I don't really have the energy to teach you how quotation marks work, but it may shock you to learn that quotation marks likely played no part of what he—-verbally—-said to his neighbor. And without actually, you know, hearing him say it... you, nor I, have no idea what he was referring to.

AH!! Who is a cute baby!?!? You are! Yes you are!

Yeah I can't even view this that negatively. It's not the worst campaign I've ever heard of...

I was kind of highlighting the black man as animals phrasing we've heard lately... but yeah... officer was definitely talking about the man, not the stairwell. :(

Next headline:

Barkley has long been hailed by conservatives and liberals by "telling it like it is," engaging in a conversation that most black folks are too ashamed or stupid or solipsistic to have. Liberal writer Jonathan Chait once called Barkley a political philosopher, praising him for being "critical of social pathologies

Someone mentioned that a lot libertarians see the law that Garner broke as a sort of unjust law—-taxation on cigs—-so they feel like his breaking it was more of a form of civil disobedience that they were personally OK with, rather than stealing. Either way it is bullshit.

What is a nail wrap and can I put that on myself or do I have to go to the "day spa" at the mall?

Yeah, major spoiler alert.

Is... is this a thing I shouldn't be doing? Shit if booze is available at a work/charity lunch, I don't care what time it is... I'm drinking it.

Those of us still at work, who really wanted to read this article, thank you for that.
