That’s a great story.

A lot of people (those I know at least) are stuck in the middle. They agree with some of the things Trump has done, but not the rest of it (immigration). They think he is an asshole, and could handle things better.

This offers no breaks for the parents. I don’t see this working for us. We have 4 kids (5, 8, 11, 14). Plus “over-accommodating” to the kids will just lead to feelings of entitlement when they get older e.g. “I’m used to getting things my way....”.

For us “olds” that’s just how we were brought up. At 10 I remember riding my bike to the movie theater, playing arcade games in the lobby, being gone for 4-5 hours at a time.   We didn’t have cell phones, or any way to communicate other than a pay phone.
