This weekend I bought a beer in an airport, walked straight out to the gate waiting area, popped open the can, and drank it as far away from people as possible. I could have just as easily brought it aboard in my carry on bag. Also saw a lot of Krispy Kreme boxes and even a large pizza get carried on to departing…

Alcohol only amplifies current feelings. If you are an asshole and aggressive when you are drunk,  you are more than likely that same way sober, only not as bad

So has the FAA done market research to verify that RAM trucks are most likely to appeal to plane-traveling a-holes?

I feel that the airlines are going to have to take a page out of the Philadelphia playbook here, because if any place has experience dealing with belligerent drunks, it’s Philly.

My non-starter idea is to have the passenger compartment separate from the airplane so that all seating and putting bags in place and so forth is done at the gate, long before the plane arrives, giving plenty of time to eliminate the jerks.

And here I thought that every passenger escorted off the plane by local police/authorities WAS being detained and criminally prosecuted. WTH??

It seems as though a certain twice impeached dictator wannabe Florida retiree has set an example that you only have to follow the rules and laws that you want to and it is negatively impacting our society. As someone once said “Without rules there’s chaos.”

That’s an excellent point - narrow seats certainly justify punching a flight attendant!  The airlines only maximize the number of passengers to piss people off, anyway - it has nothing to do with profits!  I’m an American, so the Constitution guarantees my right to be too fat to fit in a seat!
