This is a fantastic story, but I’m actually sad for you that you lost the brochure! What a rarity that would be today.
I remember my 8th Grade Science teacher had one. About that time, he started dating my 8th Grade English teacher.
You should have yelled back “Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude”.
That's a great story!

fully expected this sentence to end like “The formal introduction of the SV-1 was to take place at the Four Seasons in NYC, but at the last minute they found the Four Seasons Total Landscaping business had been booked instead”
The DeTomaso Pantera actually swiped tail lights from a 1967-1971 Alfa Romeo Berlina. So the Bricklin Pantera tail lights are really Alfa tail lights.
The tail light may of come off the Pantera... but the Pantera is just using Alfa Romeo Berlina tail lights.
Another fact: The town in South Jersey where I grew up (Pennsville) had a Oldsmobile-Cadillac-GMC dealership that also sold the Bricklin. They had six or seven in various colors at on the lot at one time.
I will never understand how the Bricklin has remained an obscure oddity niche when it’s one of the most remarkable platforms for building anything from a basic cruiser to a wild custom - all with truly exotic looks.
The only real solution is to give them to me for free.

In other news, the Ever Given is still moored in a lake near the Suez Canal as Egypt and the Insurance company play “Let’s Make a Big Deal.”
Not one person there knows how to hold a phone for video??? Why don’t people understand that vertical video is the WORST? The endless, unnecessary panning back and forth drives me nuts.
