A lot of people do. It’s not the worst game ever made to be honest. More like the most mediocre experience I’ve ever had. In a lot of ways, that makes it more unforgivable. Bad translation, generic story, and those additions...Most JRPG combat amounts to just mashing the X button, but Dragoon swings too far in the

These are all excellent points.  I hadn’t really considered any of this way back in 1999, but you’re right.  A lot of the plot just doesn’t add up.  Still love the game, but it’s definitely flawed.

It’s great that you cover so many retro games, but this is one opinion I have to disagree with. RE6 is complete trash, surpassed only by the likes of Legend of Dragoon. The very definition of design-by-committee.
Having said that, it’s all good!  Glad you could find another game that you enjoy.

Yep, not whiny or entitled at all.

Can’t wait to not give a shit about this.

It could be said that the Force does work this way, but only with the dark side.  The more you perform aggressive actions, the stronger your affinity becomes.  Definitely NOT how the light side operates, of course.

It’s fine if people still love this game, but the pre-rendered look never really worked for me.  Have to agree with Nintendo on this one.

Curious to hear they replaced the voice for a few characters.  Krabapple was retired, but Martin and the twins are too important to let go of?

Worth the 5+ year wait?

Backlogs would be another aspect to consider. Pretty much everyone has dozens of unplayed and unbeaten games just sitting around collecting dust.  I know gamer culture encourages us all to get in on the ground floor with each new thing, but we can afford to wait.  We have other stuff to occupy us while things we’re

Games are way too damn long these days IMO. I’d be fine with something that isn’t so padded out. If $60 seems like too much though, just buy it on a sale or wait a year. EA doesn’t need anyone’s money.

These look like mobile ports.  Ah well.  It’s good that these games are getting more attention outside of Japan.

People in a position of power need to be held to a higher standard than the rest of us.

What’s the problem with wanting books in a college reading program to be deeper than more mainstream fare? A lot of people love Catcher in the Rye, for example, but that’s hardly fit for a university course.

Can’t speak for anyone else but I’m still in a dream.

Sounds like it would have been a lot easier to figure these things out before release.

Kojima’s games have historically performed better overseas than in Japan, so it’s rather comical for him to say that Japanese fans are more appreciative of his oeuvre.

Can’t wait to find out that Bridge Baby was actually Chico all along.

They did, but as far as I can tell, Natsume developed Wild Guns.

Thought Wild Guns was from Natsume? Either way, I really love Ninja Warriors Once Again. This and Wild Guns Reloaded are absolutely stellar re-releases of classic games.
