For me, pregnancy meant total loss of my bodily autonomy. I couldn’t even decide when to eat, AND my fetus kicked me in the vagina once. I love my now baby but pregnancy can suck a dick.

I have the opposite experience! I love babies but I don’t know how to talk to young kids. It’s made it really hard to bond with my 4-year-old stepdaughter.

I’m late to the party but I love this question, as I am currently laying “alone” in bed while my extrovert boyfriend sleeps next to me. I am on maternity leave and my baby is at the NICU, so I get to stay up late and have my peace and quiet.

Mine is hanging from the hook, boyfriend’s is draped over the curtain rod in the bathroom, and stepdaughter’s ends up wherever boyfriend throws it (but usually in her room). I wonder if the Pences just put them on a big pile in the living room or something.

She’ll probably remain in the hospital until after she turns 5 months (she’ll be 4 months next week) and be on supplemental oxygen for up to a year or so. She’s making very slow progress and her lung disease is severe, but this will end sometime!
