And “Instead, it will turn to independent brands who can adapt quickly and stay in stride with new tech”

thank god our legislators think for themselves

Culling republicans might actually make america great again.

Keep flogging that fictional horse. The GOP is raping America.

Not the mantra of any liberal I know. Republicans are more like “I do whatever the fuck I want, and fuck you if it hurts you.”

Bernie is a sack of shit, his many scandals were just waiting to be released.

It is already grand theft...the only good thing about SDCs for the near future would be a reduction in insurance company income (but of course they will figure out a way to steal it anyway).

This is nuts...no one will legislate SDC on anything...and even if it happens it will be limited to freeways for decades.

Hell, we can’t even ban 20 year old cars that belch pollution.

But get real...while SDCs MAY be viable within a 10-20 year span, no way are you looking at a blanket prohibition on driving non-SDCs for minimum 50 years. Many rural communities don’t have a life span anywhere close to 50 years.

Bad math. The EV incentive was not broad based. Also, public transportation is simply not feasible for large numbers of Americans, and will remain so barring huge structural changes.

This, so much this. As long as it blocks most access attempts in the real world, it’s fine. The CIA ain’t tryna break into your sorry ass iPhone to steal your secret BBQ recipe.

Headless horsemen...opt for the 8!

It’s not a big deal at all as long as you can still use a passcode.

Not a chance in hell that mining asteroids will ever be cost-effective.

If the doom comes, it will be because we as a society refuse to acknowledge that most work done today isn’t really value added. We are all living in a consensual hallucination that someone that makes a million a year is somehow worthy of that amount while at the same time someone making $15/hour has to move heaven and

Counterpoint, your desire to drive five miles an hour under the speed limit because you aren’t in a hurry today shouldn’t cause everyone else on the road to follow your program.
