Pamela's utter abrasiveness contrasts with Amia's quiet, femininity. In that final scene the gender roles are reversed both in the way Pamela and Louie are sitting in the tub and with Pamela's anti-emotion stance. The scene where Pamela meets Janet is a classic scenario where a women is typically treated by a man as a

Season 4 of Louie—some of the best movies I've seen in the past few years. Hope it will be less than two years before the next set of episodes.

Uneventful Thursday gets fantastic round up on WOT. Go Sonia.

I'm actually excited for the end of the TV season because now I'll have time to rewatch all the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episodes.

Is AV Club going to give us a summer TV viewing guide? Seems like there are actually lots of shows coming out this summer. No telling if any of them will be good.

I wish the show didn't feel tired to me. It used to be the highlight of my week. They've been recycling old plotlines, jokes and episode titles all season long. And now the main character is having a baby—the sitcom death knell. Most people in the comments are here to celebrate the show, so I'll fetally wallow in my

Yeah, but not one where it actually shows the baby. This has way more of a Pam/Jim aura about it. It's the final nail. The writers aren't even interested in coming up with episode titles anymore.

Baby plot, huh? The writers have finally given into plugging in storylines from Sitcom 101. It was fun while it lasted. Peace y'all.

No love for South Park pinball? It's so fun to kill Kenny over and over and over.

Agreed. The several episodes preceding tonight's were stinkers, but I enjoyed this. I wish Ben had said Jerry during his pronouncement rather than Larry, but I'll take what I can get.

I can't believe how clean they made Hemlock Street look.

I want the Oscars to be over so I can watch True Detective undistracted. Just give Matty and 12 Years their lil trophies and be done with it.

Don't be afraid to let them show.

Judging from the 1 episode that I watched of the MJF show I'd say Trophy Wife is never quite that bland, although sometimes it's a bit Modern Family bland.

Just be careful that there's not a bucket of slime above your head.

I got Bjork.

What @CarolineFramke said. The show is absolutely nothing like Girls. There's comedy derived from marijuana use but it's not the crux of the show. Give 'em a chance!

Good thinking. Abbi and Ilana should get jobs at some shitty Brooklyn microbrewery.

I'm just going to go out on a labyrinthian limb and say it's a modern, female version of Seinfeld. Abbi and Ilana have a total Jerry and George type relationship. The show has a similar comedy of manners type humor too.
