Colleges want to make money. That's ALL they care about. Why is anyone surprised? The idea that it's a family or a caring environment is possible, but without real institutional support, it only lasts as long as a class, an administration, or the tenure of a school President.

It's fine. But give the audience a chance to invest in it. The basically did this on "Will and Grace". But took two hours to show the audience how the main "couple" broke apart, stopped talking to each other, and eventually reconciled. It was more organic.

Ted had to retcon a relationship with "Aunt Robin" so the kids wouldn't see how pathetically he was holding on to his infatuation with her even as he watched their mother die.

I hate to say it but I think the writers got scared of going in the anti-"Friends" direction the show started out as.

I got bored with the show two seasons ago after being a fan since the beginning. I sort of kept up with recaps on TV forums for awhile and then lost interest completely.

Happened to see it last night. Hilarious. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed SNL. Well, the 20 or so minutes I saw, anyway.
