Well, yeah, they would report on it, they report on video games, not how well websites function. I’m not even defending their technical issues but do you seriously expect any website would publish an article specifically detailing all of their own technical flaws?

Do you think that the writers actually have any control over Kotaku technical limitations? Or that a game journalist shouldn’t talk about technical issues with the game he’s reviewing? This rationale makes no sense to me.

I would say that this is much closer to STARSHIP TROOPERS than Earth Defense Force, which has a much more cheesy, “Showa-era Godzilla” aesthetic to it.

Basically it’s 75% Starship Troopers, 25% Terminator, and 25% Warhammer 40K.

I’ve played on PC, I have around 20 hours. Never had any crashes and I run an RTX 3060 and a 3070. I did experience that bug where we weren’t getting any loot or XP after missions but that’s been resolved. Matchmaking is still hit or miss to this day, but like you said, I’m willing to put up with a lot of that crap…

middling at absolute best, insulting is probably more apt. they took Black Flag and just absolutely gutted all the personality and removed ground combat and playable boarding. honestly it’s kind of sad but we’re talking Ubisoft in 2024 folks, nothing to see here.
