Not familiar with the series but they use the word Live twice in the title. Is this game supposed to be a limited time thing that everyone experiences ‘live’ together, and once the planned live action is over they just shut down?

Yeah, my current bottleneck is my pals have priority issues...had to finagle a base to ONLY have ore and no stone deposits. Same thing if you have a ranch. Ranch use outclasses everything, so if you are using a pal that has a drop item it will refuse to do anything else except sit in there.
Trademark /= copyright.
I’m too old to think that this will have any effect on Pokémon sales at all.
*sigh*
The dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about Japan does in fact have it’s own parody law. It may not be identical to US parody law but it certainly exists. Here’s a article discussing how it works.
Sorry but a wikipedia page is not a legitimate source for understanding something as complex as copyright law.
I’m pretty sure watching a billion dollar corporation bully a small indie studio of less than a hundred people. Will ingratiate people into liking The Pokemon Company more.
Don’t think of it as modifying, think of it as zooming in on one model so they both line up.
Scaling is not modifying. 3D modeling/sculpting software are all different in units of size/scale. You could make a desk lamp model in Modeling Software A, import it into Modeling Software B, and instead sitting nicely on top of a desk, the lamp is the size of the desk itself. One *must* adjust the scale in order to…

What? Scaling means nothing. Scaling is a completely transform-free process in 3D modeling. 1 inch means 1 foot means 1 astronomical unit because these virtual worlds are completely unit free.

I agree. Play the game if you like it, criticize it if you don’t. But man, just understand not everyone is going to feel the same way.
Yes, that is exactly what it is. Nintendo treats their customers and fans like they are a burden. And they go out of their way to make sure when those same fans take matters into their own hands, they get punished.
They have copyright, what they don’t have is the trademark. Seems pedantic but it is a meaningful distinction
This whole situation with this game and people’s reactions to it has been super embarrassing to watch. So many bad actors all around. You have people on one side deciding that ownership of this game is the only indicator of one’s moral compass, while the other side is doing crap like trying to sic Nintendo’s legal…
An interesting thing I learned about all of this recently is than Nintendo doesn’t have copyright on every Pokemon they have ever made. It would be very very expensive to do so, they mostly maintain Gen1 stuff, Pikachu, the last 2 gens of starters and some but not all legendary pokemon.
Add Co-op you cowards!
Thats awesome to hear and actually makes me more interested in this (I missed out on the original) I’m not a fan of fast travel (especially earlier on in a game) and I feel like you can tell when a game expects you to use it. I actually really liked Cyber punks fast travel. You needed to get to a fast travel point…
