100% agree. They should have gone all-in: frictionless sliding instead of walking, expressionless front-facing face, etc.

I really hope this is finally happening. I don’t care much about game remakes, but Black Flag has been my one wish. Hoping they also strip out the old AC gameplay for the post-Origins gameplay.
Well, ideally, they’ll strip out all the old AC non-naval gameplay and replace it with the Origins-style gameplay they’ve been using since (afaik).
I genuinely appreciate it in this one, singular case. Very appropriate life-imitates-art moment.
Seems like someone forgot to update the title cards for the last 2 games.
The buzzed look is part of the head-shaving. His hair was longer.
Fair enough. I never played SMRPG. Though how you feel about SMRPG > Paper Mario is similar to my feelings about Paper Mario > Mario & Luigi. Broke my heart how Nintendo destroyed the PM series because they didn’t want more than one Mario RPG series.
You take that back!
I never had an SP, but was always envious of the self-protective compact design for travel and the luminated screen. I will never miss the need for sufficient external lighting to play a game.
This is the best take. 100% agree with everything said.
I’m not convinced gem drop rate improves with player advancement. I have max stamina and I’m onto my second row of hearts, have all the sages etc. In recent history I’ve broken rare ore deposits to receive a single piece of flint or amber. Not doing farming loops or anything, just through adventuring.
Just one new course this time, eh? Wasn’t expecting them to drag it out like this.
Here’s my pitch for a solution:
Is there a non-dog companion option?
Agreed - I also believe there’s never been a better time for video games. There’s such a trove of incredible indie and small studio/publisher games that it’s impossible to play them all in depth (unless you cut out AAA games entirely).
It’s absolutely bonkers and I hope the sequel is no less insane.
I think the annoying pawns are an endearing feature. Even after hundreds of hours of playtime, it still puts a smile on my face to hear the dumb shit they say.
Yes, let us also destroy all our books in a great fire. We must erase as much information as possible. That will teach the capitalists.
I’m pretty sure I just glided over the 2nd gap...
Hell yeah, brother! I don’t think I could pick an all-time favorite game, but DD would be one of the contenders.
