That’s a bs argument, and you know it. What other examples do you have where a player can break a rule and force a player to do anything. The absolute worst case I can think of is an intentional walk in baseball, even though most would agree that a team is better off having any runner on first base than at the plate

This. Teams are already penalized for playing a poor FT shooter in that they can’t pass him the ball out of fear he’ll be fouled. Allowing teams to wrap someone up who’s barely across half court is just stupid and makes basketball worse.

Of course it’s breaking the rules. You aren’t allowed to make contact in certain situations, which results in a foul for the player and team, and once a team is over the bonus, free throws. Most of the time this is to the fouled teams benefit, but not always, and this is one of the only sports that can dictate what

I don’t understand how obviously intentional fouls can’t be called just that. In late game situations where teams are going for quick steals and then a foul a case could be made that they are legitimate attempts at basketball plays but there is no reasonable explanation for wrapping up a guy 50 feet away from the

Everyone likes to blame the driver for not adjusting their mirrors right (I see a couple comments to that effect already). However, if most people are adjusting their mirrors wrong, that’s a pretty strong indication that the product is poorly designed. People apparently like being able to have the side of their car in

Unpopular opinion time:

At least Henry had enough sense to make Hawkeye Chief Medical Officer.

“He is Frank Burns when Henry goes on R&R”

...and this guy’s entire vice presidency.

This is the worst type of comment, not just because what you said was wrong - and very nearly everything you said is very, very wrong - and not because you washed it all down with a bit of bigotry about “tribals” and their huts, or the general ignorance about the viability of prevention vs. cure philosphy, but because

“What were you thinking? You could have been robbed!”

I’m guessing your cutom plate reads “PEDANT.”

[Puts on flack jacket and shounder pads. Straps on helmet. Puts safety goggles on. Inserts mouth guard. Checks cup. Ties steel toed boots. Looks around. Deep breath.]

Well, Onan was slain by God for not caring about his seed, so I think the Cavs are getting off easy (hey-o!) here.

Gee, maybe not caring about their seed should’ve occured about two months and 1000 LeBron minutes ago.

Nothing against Cubs fans or players, but anything that brings the Ricketts clan happiness is bad.

Hate to be a highlight truther comment Truther, but wasn’t that a double dribble?

Hate to be a highlight truther here, but HOLY SHIT how can’t they call that travel? I think Earl/Dave Hebner are NBA refs now. League is more crooked than Lombard Street.
