They only figured out that people are shopping mostly with a spreadsheet of cars + features + price and since they win that comparison they are moving vehicles. Quality / durability of said features certainly make sense for the cost but most aren’t realizing that until they’ve taken delivery.

You can change the setting on the blinkers to NOT do the 3 blink function and then it works like every other car.
I brought back my last 335 with 7K less miles than contracted and BMWFS ignored the hole in the rear bumper and gave me a 500$ credit against my account. This was separate from any turn-in deals they were offering.

Maybe each bank is different, but BMWFS's process is pretty straight forward. Fill out an application (owner and recipient), pay 500$. If recipient is approved for lease, hand over keys. If not, 400$ is refunded.
