Social Security and Medicare are programs that workers pay into, like a 401k. Unemployment is more like a regulatory business fee.

If I remember right, Nintendo automatically connects to certain open networks, such as the AT&T ones at Starbucks. I bet they negotiate with all the big providers to skip the login screens.

Have you ever driven in Germany? People there are pretty damn good and their system makes sure of it.

Technically, everything from the Monterrey-San Luis Obispo county line on north is Northern California.

Yeah, which means we drive in the rain about 30 days a year instead of 15. ;)

That is what I keep telling myself. Of course, I also kept telling myself that Trump had no chance of securing the nomination much less the Presidency. . . .

Presidents routinely play that game. Bush got rid of GEN Shinseki after he rightfully pushed back against the ill-fated plan to invade Iraq, telling the Bush administration quite forcefully that he did not believe pushing in from Kuwait with a few hundred thousand troops would be successful in securing the country,

It is not the same verbatim, but it is almost identical in meaning:

Except the military does not have “free speech” the way that a civilian does. You are allowed a normal amount of political expression on your off duty hours so long as it does not imply official endorsement. Using military uniforms, military equipment, military titles, et cetera tends to imply political endorsement

Having been in the military, I guarantee what will happen is that every unformed service member is going to be called into an hour briefing this month about DoD regulations regarding politics and the military.

This is a straw man. You are taking a real event and comparing it to a hypothetical event that there is no compelling evidence would have happened.

Military units are supposed to show support for the President as a commander in chief, for example, by forming an honor guard at an official event. Military units are never supposed to endorse the President politically.

Crispus? Had to look that one up.

Eh, maybe it did. Most of us have faced serious negative repercussions for seemingly minor bad decisions we made.

Get it right. The FSB only handles internal intelligence. They are like the FBI. The SVR (external intelligence, like the CIA) would be the one handling Melania. That being said, she is from Slovenia, not Russia.

Let us try to keep things in perspective. The federal government spends about $50 billion dollars on roads every year. The federal government takes in about $35 billion in gas taxes, so roads have an operating loss of about $15 billion a year.

1. What is the “third house”? I think you are confusing the two houses of congress with the three branches of government (the Republicans control two of the three while the Supreme Court is officially apolitical although does tend to lean favorably toward Republican or Democratic ideology at times).

I swear officer, it was a joke. I’m into dark humor and I thought shooting her in the face would be hilarious. Haven’t you ever watched any Coen Brothers’ movies?

If you plot Education/IQ versus Patriotism, you will find members of the civilian and uniformed intelligence communities in the upper-right hand. These are people who generally are not only very smart, but love their country very much.

I took a look at it last night. The dossier looks legitimate, which means it is either real or someone went to a lot of trouble to make a credible forgery.
