I would like to suggest The Center for Inquiry:

So what happens? Republicans get sick of his nonsense, get enough Democrats to go along, impeach Trump and then put Pence in charge?

Trump has generally been pro gay rights personally, although he has also been adamant that the issues should be left up to the States.

If he resigns before the electors meet, in theory, the electors could vote for someone else. Heck, in theory, the electoral college was designed to prevent someone like Donald from becoming President and they could vote for someone else (like Clinton or Joe Camel) instead, although there is almost no chance that

I was 18 in 2000 and the election was a few months after graduating from high school. I remember how much liberals hated George Bush and his victory. I never thought I would write this, but I actually miss him. He won the majority of Hispanics in Texas and the majority of Muslim votes nationwide.

Both candidates are bad. Sometimes you have to decide between two unequally poor choices. That is part of being an adult.

What is scary is how right they were. The data showed that there was about a 1/3rd chance of a Hillary landslide, about a 1/3rd chance of a close Hillary victory, and about a 1/3rd chance of a close Trump victory. Well, the polls were systematically biased toward a close Trump victory. That is how probability works.

Well, maybe that is why he showed-up there. Lots of crazy things happen in co-ed dorms.

I disagree with the smothering bit. When working with lithium-ion batteries, the recommended course of action to respond to thermal runaway is to smother the battery with sand. Of course, the fire department is not really equipped to do that on the fly with such a large set of cells experiencing a thermal event and

In a manual transmission, the vehicle has no way to shift during cruise control.

That is not how most engines work. Think about what happens when I put my manual transmission in 6th gear and engage cruise control.

That does not seem likely. The suit goes back to before Trump announced he was running, so regardless of the veracity of the claims (which seem hard to substantiate), it is unlikely to have its origins in a political machination.

Socketed RAM would encourage the user to open up the laptop and tinker with the commandments of God that Apple has given to its prophets at Foxcon to engrave upon logic boards. Such is not the right of mortals.

If Microsoft is really throwing in a quad core processor and GTX chip in the Surface Book, it sounds pretty perfect. I wish we could combine that with the 4 lightning 3.0 ports of the macbook pro and its rumored e-ink keyboard.

The scales are chosen based on what is supposed to be shown. It is up to the reader to understand what the graph is demonstrating.

The primary purpose is to move the Abrams. But there is no rule that you cannot stick other stuff on it too. It would be kind of a waste to use it to move a Honda motorcycle and a Toyota Prius. Also, unlike the Abrams tank, I am fairly certain a Prius would get better gas mileage than the HET.

That is kind of my point. Chose the scales and bounds that make sense for the presentation.

I don’t see how a zero point would be helpful there. What would be helpful would be a trend line with relevant numerics to demonstrate statistical significance, like the p-value of the regression.

“Zero” points are arbitrary and meaningless and there is no need to use them unless it improves the clarity of the graph. For instance, in your example, since the graph is only made to look at the increase in CO2 over a specific time span, referencing zero would be pointless.

It is not just a sixities thing. Sure, my dad walked around in the Bronx without a guardian in the 60's when he was 10, but even in the 1980's and 1990's, it was common to see kids outside playing without parents around. It was when all the Millennials started having kids in the 2000s (and maybe the later
