In this particular case, I think it’s just that Daisy Ridley has said she was a big ghibli fan (and John Boyega said that he was a big Naruto fan). So it’d seem likely to me if she pushed to be in it or even to release it other here now that she has that kind of leeway over Disney having to push her to do it.

I would point out that’s 150% of what Disney bought for freaking Star Wars, but then again George Lucas wasn’t looking for money and was more looking for an out so they probably didn’t spend as much as that property would have actually cost.

To be fair, I think the guy who played Boba Fett would have an idea of how big it would be, even if he didn’t do anything in Empire. He did sign on after Star Wars freaking exploded, after all.
