Heck, the Vita is the obvious example here. It can be had for the same price with higher resolution, more functions, better build quality, much higher end hardware, etc.

I think the reality here is that Nintendo are doing well to be able to sell such cheap hardware at such a high price. The profit margins are

Prosecute swatters as attempted murder.

Yeah, it bothers you for a day and your past it. What would continue to bother me till the end of time is playing Monster Hunter on such a tiny screen.

Seriously. I'm a real stickler, and even I wish people would stop crying about not getting this thing. In 4 months after launch, there will be new colors and options ANYWAY. Probably even the smaller, more pocket-sized unit.

I'm also jealous of those faceplates, but I don't see myself ever buying a small 3DS; I've only owned the XL screen, I like it better, and I don't think I could downgrade. I don't get why the wish is for a smaller 3DS instead of for the XL to also get swappable faceplates.

You know what would be cool? If Nintendo released its old games on smartphones. Instead, Nintendo has another plan: Releasing more smartphone games on the 3DS. Oh.

This sort of disrespect and narrow-mindedness makes me sick. How can fans be so utterly obsessed with one version of a game that they revile the others, especially when the guy who makes the games is working himself to death on each sequel?

Fanboys are ugly, but they're just part of a bigger problem in today's society.

...why is this being posted now? I hate to be that "OLD NEWZ GUYS!" but this has been examined so many times already, and the games shown in the above banner image are pretty old at this point (and that's just their boxart, the games themselves feature varying color palettes).

It's been 9 am about 6 hours ago here.

If you've not given the google Wii Street U a go, you should. It's very cool. You can visit a large number of beautiful locations, moving around as you like and using the gamepad to "look around". It's very cool. I've used it to go to new places, but also some very cool international locations that I'm familiar with

Going to have to agree here, I don't see how Far Cry 4 is any less breathtaking, in fact I would say, I think I like Far Cry's landscapes more than this.

Exactly this. This article is a gross exaggeration. Vanishing of Ethan Carter did lush mountain scenery much better. Even Far Cry 4 was better looking when maxed out than this. Even Alan Wake on PC is on par or better than this.

If this is impressive I'm not sure what to say about my Skyrim.

Hackers already do this, it's called social engineering and it's nothing new. I'm kind of glad that a government is doing it, but since everyone else has been it doesn't really change anything. I think this will get sensationalized and freak people out without much justification.

Grrrrrr.

I'm sure the family of that kid loves having that picture spread around.

damn, when did you guys hire brian posehn!

Very nice pic everyone. Always liked reading Kotaku and decided to join. Hope you guys are all doing well.

The USB standard supports sleep and charge. You just need to configure your computer to allow charging while the device is off or sleeping (often disabled by default for laptops)

In order to earn the money, YouTubers can register specific videos or entire channels with Nintendo. Individual videos can earn 60% of advertising proceeds, and registered channels can earn a little more—70%. Unless Nintendo decides to change that. And they can. The Nintendo Creator's program says that this rate "may
