While screens aren't great for the eyes, the increase in eye surgery doesn't mean much. It's getting more and more affordable all the time. People who would've just worn glasses or contacts all their lives are now deciding they don't want to do that since they have an option now.

Personally I think 25Mbps is a good minimum for high-speed internet — but I share my 20Mbps connection with three other people, and we hum along just fine. I certainly wouldn't say we have dial-up.
