It only was dubbed shitposting after the fact. He supported what he thought was a great idea, and was wrong. He made a mistake. He owned up to it with regards to that latest FaceBook post. Mistakes like these arent unethical. I have no evidence that suggests he was malicious or even negligent.

People of that age are more likely to have the time and other resources to actually participate. It’s a lack of time thing, not a lack of skills thing. The young you are as an adult the more likely you are to participate in such a competitive and demanding activity - math are fun.

That solution is a bit idealistic though. Many 16-24 have responsibilities meaning people aren’t easily on tap to just hang out in a car with you.
