Where I grew up in NY you get impounded if caught w/ an out of date sticker. An those impound fees are over $100 just to start. Then the days start adding hundreds of more dollarstdollarsto the tab if you’re, let’s say, a week from payday you might as well sign the car over you're going to owe so much for impound fees.

I respectfully diagree. I mean, if your car is only 18 months old then paying the 20 bucks for a sticker shouldn’t be an issue.
