I’m always amazed at how much sway his name alone still holds over democrats of a certain age. I know so many liberals of my parents’ generation who still support Cuomo. It’s amazing to me how just a few days ago, many news sources both in this country and across the pond were calling this the best week of Trump’s presidency, simply because a years-long investigation didn’t indict any more of his people than the dozens it already had. So, they’re just actively trying to troll us to the point of driving us all insane, right? That’s got to be the GOP’s official public relations strategy. There’s absolutely no other explanation for the last few years. Pander to the simpering morons who support them, and try as hard as they can to drive the rest of us…

Has there ever been a situation in which Trump hasn’t been weird? I’m not even trying to be funny here. The man is simultaneously deeply insecure and wildly narcissistic. He’s unable to read or emulate human emotions or behavior. He’s a lunatic. Him acting weird is his normal.

I continue to be amazed at how they can contradict their own carefully-crafted narrative within the same breath and their voters don’t even blink anymore. The president’s own toadie AG, hand-picked specifically to deal with this exact moment and nothing else, said in his own summary that the report doesn’t exonerate…

If you had a big project that you needed to really focus on, I can see worse ways to get it done than to spend a full day or two on a train.

For the record, the next few weeks are going to provide an exact demonstration of why impeachment is a terrible idea: because Trump will take even big losses and treat them like landslide victories, so when he actually gets the slightest of victories, he and his echo chamber turn it into the biggest thing ever.

So... the report is a political Rorschach test, and everyone will see exactly what they want to see in it. Who was really expecting any different?
