I’m hoping to keep total depreciation + maintenance to $10k for 5 years of ownership.

Exact same boat. I’m kind of digging Stadia, actually. I’ve got a gigabit internet connection, an old Xbox One, and a four-year-old graphics card in my PC, so Stadia’s a great and inexpensive way for me to play games in 4k. Glad I was able to get it for free with Cyberpunk, if they expand the stable of games I’ll keep

I bought a new Tacoma in summer 2019. Now, a year and a half and almost 10k miles later, I could sell it through Carvana with a click for a couple grand less than what I paid for it, and if I wanted to go through the hassle of selling it privately I could actually make a profit. And at one point, when the pandemic was

When I first played Origins it took me a while to adjust, but now... honestly, going back and playing older AC games just feels weird to me. And I say that as someone who considers Black Flag to be among my favorite games ever made not named “Witcher 3.

It’s a bit trite, but Washington’s farewell address is, as always, appropriate. This MAGA bullshit and the GOP’s willingness to put our democracy at risk to placate the ego of a demagogue and avoid angering his followers purely to avoid ceding power to their rival political party is exactly what the founding fathers

Not just to save face, but to avoid the potential internal crisis as well. He’s convinced a frankly fucking horrifying portion of his supporters that the fact that this country wants to count the votes that were cast in a presidential election is a fucking deep state conspiracy against him. If they haul his fat ass

I know this is cliche to say about everything in 2020, but seriously:

All you read and wear or see and hear on tv is a product begging for your fatass dirty dollar.

First, this article is thankfully the first time I’ve heard Timmy Littlefinger’s name in a while. Kind of forgot about that dipshit.

I think there are several explanations here.

I’m curious about your use of the future tense here.

Gotta say, you definitely hit most of the main elements of the story. I’ve read the book and your synopsis isn’t too far off of what I’d say if someone asked me to summarize the book in fifteen seconds or less.

I love this reply. “I can’t defend the shittiness of my own country, so instead I’ll try to point out how it compares slightly favorably to one of the most troubled countries on the planet.”

And my apologies in return for snapping at you.

Bless your heart. I’m doing exactly that.

Hey, look, our freedoms. Causing more cases of COVID-19 in a single fucking event than some developed countries have had in total. Yay.

I’d hesitate on the Chromebook recommendation for certain college students. I adored my Samsung Chomebook Pro. It was a marvelous machine, and totally worked for like 98% of the things I needed it to. But it’s biggest hangup (having to use the Android version of Word) would have killed me in college.

Eh, to keep the rest of us sane. Seriously, just knowing other people are still outraged by this shit helps me fight off that despondent feeling that my country really is completely gone, and that we really are living the opening chapters of a dystopian novel turned real.

God. A car I don’t want, painted up in tribute to a band I don’t like, being offered for a price I’d never pay.

When it became obvious that the pool boy thing was true, my first thought was that we’re in for 6-12 months or more stories like this coming out. There’s never just one.
