This is the Chris Davis of takes. At one point people thought it was good, and in certain contexts it was great, but it just keeps getting trotted out there whether it makes sense or not.

Pretty sure he would have missed all of them anyway.

Just in case anybody still thought RBI’s were a meaningful stat, Davis has 2. The hitter on the worst streak in the history of baseball has still “driven in” 2 runs.

They should have paused the game for him to take a lap around the field high fiving the fans.

Black Panther is dead. He has passed on. He has ceased to be. He’s expired and gone to meet his maker. He’s a stiff. Bereft of life. He rests in peace. If Thanos hadn’t turned him to dust he’d be pushing up the daisies. He’s off the twig. He’s muzzled off his mortal coil and joined the bleeding choir invisible.

I feel like he’s very close to having a Dave Chappelle style breakdown because everyone is constantly yelling “wakanda forever!” at him.

“So...think this’ll be any good?”

Honestly, could be the movie’s tagline.

Imagine, just for fun, if they had some unreleased footage of Heath Ledger’s Joker.

Sometimes connections are awesome.

I have a raging hatred of villains always being tied to the hero somehow. Everyone who does it thinks they’re oh-so-clever when what they are is as unimaginative and as lazy as fuck.

These mechanics are specifically designed to exploit unstable/impulsive people like this guy.

Everyone in every scene of every movie is totally connected! Rey has to be a Skywalker or a Kenobi! Flash has to make Reverse Flash so he can make Flash. Batman must make every single one of his own Villains.

I’m still not a fan of any definitive origin being applied to The Joker, but I’ll admit it looks a lot better than I thought I would.

Young man yells at Cloud”

I do it just to irritate folks with post histories like yours—as it’s almost exclusively the “defend my right to be an asshole” types who feel the need to tone police others. ;)

Loot boxes and the like very clearly play on the natural human tendency to assume that our luck will turn if we try “just once more.” For folks with gambling/addiction issues, that compulsion can be incredibly powerful.

That said, the game doesn’t force you to spend money; whether it’s a hand of cards, a round of Keno,

Because Disney bought Fox for rights to content not hard assets- people (sorry to term it that way), property, etc. Disney already has all that and doesn’t need more. It spent a lot of money and now is slashing those “unnessecary” costs to streamline the post-acquisition operation.

Bullshit. There’s very clear evidence that it helps move product.

Once a very long time ago I was an art student pretty heavily caked in charcoal dust from my many, many drawing classes. Can attest that charcoal does NOT clear my skin, and definitely didn’t whiten my teeth.
