So, yes, if you buy tickets to a concert you should get a show, but if that artist wants you to keep buying tickets then they better keep making the music you like.

Also, just as a slight quibble, is it free content if the creator relies on ad revenue and the viewers have to sit through those ads?
It weirdly is. I was recently reading a story about QAnon, and followed it with another about Nicki Minaj and her deranged hardcore fans, and realized that in both instances, it’s fandom. And it’s not great.
This is how it operates for pretty much all vloggers/streamers these days, isn’t it? (The popular ones at least.)
A big Marmalard W doesn’t feel the same without Drew around to talk about it. Get better soon, you Frankenstein-headed lunk.
Absolutely an enigma that they have been leveraging to their advantage. It is much easier to decide what lives, what dies, and what gets to be “popular” when you’re the only people seeing the numbers.
That genre shows tend to have passionate but small audiences, and some shows are insanely popular among large groups of people that nerds never interact with are concepts that seem to have eluded their grasp for as long as I’ve been on the Internet (and I’m sure goes back decades).
I loved both seasons, but GLOW struck me as being a “very active topic” the same way that something like “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” is.
I wish. He is another YouTuber who had a boxing match with one of the aforementioned Paul brothers this summer.
If I can offer some mild pushback, I don’t think “I haven’t heard of it” is a good argument here. It’s entirely reasonable think that Netflix isn’t being 100% upfront with us since the only people who know the real numbers are them, but just because you haven’t heard of a thing doesn’t mean it’s not a thing.
Unikitty vomiting glitter all over the tree is a joke I didn’t know I needed, but I’m glad it’s here.
I should’ve clarified, I was speaking more in terms of that there has been NO Cowboy Bebop content since the show ended, while there’s been quite a bit of GITS stuff since Stand Alone Complex.
The whole game has turned out to be quite a bit of fun. River came back to win it 3-1, but the goal they scored to take the lead is quite tasty.
Given that there’s already a fair amount of GITS content out there (of what I will kindly call “mixed” quality), this is certainly nice news but not Cowboy Bebop-level stuff.
Fantastic. Please just make “The Raid,” but give like Thor a cameo or something. Done.
This is blisteringly dumb and completely insane and I love it and wish to subscribe to the newsletter forevermore.
A real-life cartoon. Wonderful.
You can’t reproduce great, stylish, anime in live action because the stylishness of the animation is a big part of what makes it more appealing than live action in the first place.
A remake, no matter how terrible, has no impact on the original so my knee-jerk response of “This ain’t it, chief” is unfair.
Yeeeeeeeesh.
