In fairness though, if one looks at how Los Zetas get started, it doesn't take a whole lot to turn a group from "fighting the cartels" to "just another cartel".

I watched Dope this weekend, which I found to be… interesting, but also pretty uneven. It kinda felt like 2 or 3 movies stitched together, with a speech that the end I just found jarring and out of place. It felt like a movie that wanted to say about 100 different things when it really only had space for 10 or 20.
Hasn't the last 10 years taught us that there's nothing Hollywood considers "too iconic or otherwise singular" to remake?
Or, you could just read Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden, which is one hell of a book.

I wish I'd been here to post this sooner, but, a small rebuttal, if I may.
For fuck's sake YES PLEASE.
I am excited to see this.
Seriously. There are a truckload of hugely interesting stories to be told, but this sure as shit ain't it.
Man, Linda Ellerbee's still doing her thing, huh? Well, good for her anyway, I only have positive memories about the "Nick News" segments when I was a young'un.
Still fantastic, 20 years later.
This song is like the 90's distilled, purified and weaponized. I can sit through an episode of Friends, but I have to mute the TV or flee the goddamn room when this song comes on.
Yes, I fully enjoy having Chance and Kendrick around doing their own things, hopefully for a long time coming.
Oh thank you. I was afraid I was the only one who couldn't stand HDTGM's "EVERYONE YELL OVER EACH OTHER ALL THE TIME" schtick.
Man.
Well, we've sanitized ALL the radicalism from our presentation of King, to make him most palatable.
For maximum enjoyment, please watch the reactions of the women behind Lia, who clearly think little of her defense.
I feel like this is the right place to post the most amazing thing I've read about "Black-ish" since it premiered.
