to be clear, Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters was terrible. It had nothing to do with the casting (all very funny actresses) and everything to do with the slipshod CGI, even more slipshod humor, and general lack of fun.

at this point i will 100% take a greatest hits Alien(s) remix. i realize the irony in having made the opposite complaint about Star Wars, but at this point we could really just use a solid horror thriller with xenomorphs.
what about anyone from KOTOR? I would love to see Revan or Malak show up at the appropriate moment.
Tom Hiddleston, Regé-Jean Page, Dev Patel, and Henry Golding are all much more interesting choices.
literally what the Sequel Trilogy should have been. Era of Jedi dominance, rising threat of mysterious dark force.
loathe as i am to be the bearer of bad news, The Crow is not a good movie. ‘middling’ also applies.
it’s still an HBO sandwich
i’d disagree with you except that i checked, and despite delivering such critically lauded films as Take Shelter and Loving, he’s never been nominated for an Oscar.
I was thinking of I, Robot when I wrote ‘middling’.
Ah yes, Alex Proyas, the guy who made one good movie (Dark City) twenty-five years ago and whose entire cinematic output before and after has been middling to disastrous.
the whole “(Larry/Freddie) loves little girls... but not in a bad way” running joke is so great. Classic Curb.
The first next Game of Thrones was Korean Samurai Zombie epic Kingdom (2019-2020), and the second next Game of Thrones is this year’s Shōgun.
is this the same hole as Dune costar Rebecca Ferguson’s giant hole in Silo, or a different hole
Fables already did this, and it was great. These Blood and Honey assholes need to be stopped before they can do more harm*
Scarlet Johansson, obv.
not-technically-ordered-yet third season
Katy O’Brian looks like a Streets of Rage or Final Fight mini-boss.
and let’s not forget Ellen Pompeo’s 20th facelift as well!
Garland earned a lifetime pass for writing Sunshine and writing/directing Annihilation. This is an instant watch for me.
this is just such a perfect example of a microaggression. Dude probably wasn’t being wilfully sexist, but he defaulted to assuming she was a flight attendant (do people even say “stewardess” anymore) because of stereotypes. It’s harmful, but it’s not a “macro” aggression.
