It really depresses me that the fun and lively Strange New Worlds is being saddled with (a) “old traumas” (because that’s what I think of when I think of SNW) and (b) any further association with STD, truly the worst of Treks.

honestly, for the right kind of (mediocre) movie, i would 100% recommend D-Box over traditional cinemas. 

Not true! I’ve had plenty of fun times at Jurassic World D-Box or Spider-Man: Homecoming 4D.

As a comics nerd and Trekkie, it gives me no end of pleasure that the guy she was so quote-unquote “terrified” of is just this gentle Blerd who wrote the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy comic book in the 90s.

I don’t disagree with your basic premise - the “multiverse” undercuts dramatic tension since you know there’s always an alt-Gamora or alt-Thanos or alt-Kang to take a character’s place - but (at least for now) you’re wrong to say that it hasn’t been working for Marvel.
