A lot of the fault also lies with Teefury and all those other merch/tshirt shops that actively promote and use fan art. They walk a legal grey zone and know it.

I hadn’t considered age restrictions in this debate yet. That might actually be a simple first step to prevent loot boxes by automatically bringing the age restriction up to 16 or 18 when a game has loot boxes. Publishers might think twice about it when their target audience gets limited.

It’s worth mentioning that this week’s episode started with, what I think is, the introduction of the game where the kids are planning out their movie and Netflix phases, and ended with the heroes splitting up into two factions. So they actually tied the episode into the game.

Weirdly enough, I find these ads to be far more honest and real than any fashion campaign you’d see out there. If you get over the pornographic aspect of it, you have well-shot images of real, diverse couples in passionate poses.
