Yes there is a burden of personal education in all this, but as a society we shouldn’t allow predatory practices against the vulnerable of our society with the excuse ‘lol should’ve known better, poors’
Some consumers have simply never learned how credit works
What responsibilty could EA possibly have here?
I’d be the first person to call EA out on their bullshit, but not here. I don’t care what their thoughts are behind the scenes in this particular case. Even if it’s just a PR move, a little bit of good is being done.
Fucking anime avatars, I swear to fuck
Yes, that poor innocent soul being exposed to the horrors of gambling. What a victim.
...I get the cynicism about EA, but they are exactly 0% at fault for what happened in Jacksonville. It wasn’t at an event they were running (just going “oh, yeah, sure, your event counts”), their game is a fucking football game and not a game that involves weapons of any kind.
This is a bad take.
Yes, the way she seemed to be rushing from house to house, not giving anyone time to answer before moving on made me think this was someone being pursued by a serial killer. She’s fine, he’s dead, sounds so much better that what I thought we’d hear next.
Must be fun for a company to have to try and balance rationality and emotion among the people for something they’re not at all legitimately responsible. Are we to have military checkpoints into every event that has more than 10 people? In this context, “more security” really isn’t feasible to prevent this.
Respectable.
“This story is stranger, and sadder, than it initially appears.”
The only thing laws against jumping cars does is prevent GOOD people from jumping their cars
This is just another sad story of cops trying to profit off of innocent drivers that are fully-capable of jumping their cars and should not be hassled by “the man”. The fact that he crashed has nothing to do with this. Everyone makes mistakes.
Obviously it was a mistake, but I really hope that guy has a photograph of the hight he flew. Say what you want, but for a brief moment that man did something so awesome, so bold, so American, he should be proud.
Look how gracefully the suspension absorbed that massive jump. The truck will be fine wth just a few minutes spent with a bottle of polish.
If you don’t create spaces for people to legally jump their cars, they will illegally jump them on the street.
“No Cell Phones Were Hurt Or Harmed During The Making Of This C-Movie“.
That’s why they call it “Youtube Corner”!
