I think the argument isn’t that the shuttle didn’t accomplish anything; but rather, that a differently designed space vehicle, or even standard non-reusable rockets, could have accomplished even more, or at least could have done the same things on a smaller budget (hopefully leaving NASA with more funds for other

My ex from like a decade ago is now literally my best friend. It’s been a complicated relationship, and we’ve definitely had ups and downs and confusion and such, but it’s settled down pretty well. Like, I dunno, love is a continuum, I think. Sometimes someone doesn’t work as a romantic partner for you, but they’re

I’m not knowledgeable enough about this, but some of the other people who replied to you said that some of the men featured also aren’t yet on TV, or at least were not when the magazine issue came out. Is that true?

How many Americans can identify TEN titans of late-night TV, though? Let’s see, there’s Colbert, uh, that British guy who used to be on Stewart’s show as well, um... Stewart isn’t doing that anymore... Uh. Okay, so, two and a half for me. Would it really have been so crazy to include her, I dunno, somewhere between #4

Meanwhile, Christians continue to campaign against gay adoption, because won’t someone please think of the children? Most of the children who suffered this abuse would, you know, probably have been wayyy better off if someone had taken them from their abusive fundamentalist ultra-religious homes, and let some nice gay

Extreme staring contest!

Clearly this report is from a completely unbiased source. :P

The idea of a wealthy over-priced-paper-dispensary like Harvard losing out on some petty change so that some guy can get awesome Lego toys really doesn’t make me terribly upset. I’m not really sure Lego is a worse investment than

Megatron / Starscream 2016!

If these people were sitting on a porch and having a private discussion about their personal beliefs that they have no intenion of forcing on anyone else, that’d be another thing.

No way will Republicans vote for her.

“There is a strong sense that it’s an idea whose time has come...”

Son, be a dentist! You have a talent for causing things pain! Be a dentist! People will pay you to be inhumane...

I think this is generally a good step, but the reasoning behind leaving it up to individual troops seems problematic to me. “There are differences of opinion, and we need to be respectful of them.” That... just makes me uncomfortable. It’s such a broad statement. Like, really, should we be respectful of all differences

So encouraging boys to read is reasonable, but encouraging girls to go into STEM fields (by, say, getting them to participate in a robotics program) is political correctness gone mad?

What! Bush? I thought it was Jeb Kerman that was running for president. :(
