A big company behaving unethically does not surprise me, although I’m not convinced yet that Valve would actually make such a blunt move as this; if it’s true it’s not exactly discreet.

It’s naive to assume this mod does not carry vile motivations.

I disagree. How could any developer accept a racist mod ?!

Since most people who are into these games in the West are older gamers in their late 20's and upwards I can’t imagine the Final Fantasy fanbase in Japan to be any younger than this ... which means they are unlikely to be college students.

Thus, all the survey measures is the popularity of Final Fantasy among younger

Just because a game is made in Japan does not mean the main or core consumers are the Japanese.

Yes but ‘murdering people’ is part of the actual gameplay in the Witcher. In fact you can’t beat the game without ‘murdering people’.

I think ‘pervy’ is an exaggeration though, it’s ‘kinky’ at worst.

It’s interesting, at my school the bullies were never the “sports jocks”. Quite the opposite actually, the “sports jocks” were always quite nice to people or at least never bothered anyone else.

‘To each his own’ and all that.

I agree that the GT games have typically been more challenging than the Forza games. After all they follow rather traditional Japanese game design, which we all know equals ‘difficult’ and ‘challenging’ (although some would argue ‘grindy’ and ‘punishing’).

Me too !

I use RaceRoom’s own racing seat, they deliver from Germany, which is very convenient if you live in Europe (www.raceroomstore.com).

That’s actually a common reaction when you put a civilian in a racing car and drive them around for a while at high speeds. There are enough Funny Videos and prank shows around to illustrate this. I’ve read that it happens to rookie racing drivers as well.

They have done this before though, in 2012 Jann Mardenborough entered a similar competition and has since turned racing into a career. In 2014 Nissan did something similar, again through Gran Turismo.

I mainly use Youtube to watch presentations in Science and various Motorsport events. Things I can’t access on TV.

SBK X, DTM 2015, Stock Car Extreme and WRC 5.

I still think $60 for a 8-9 hour campaign is asking far too much, no matter how fun those hours are. Whenever I have bought a full-priced but short game I have always regretted the purchase a few days later. And ‘yes’ I have played this new Doom game.

Media has a tendency to over-hype the games they really like, and I feel Doom is no exception. $60 for an 8 hr campaign is never worth it.

Well, the gameplay is still solid no matter what system you play it on, in terms of mechanics I mean. It finds a very nice balance between ‘simplicity’ and ‘challenge’. It’s not an easy game by any means, but it’s quick to learn and get into.

I didn’t read the whole article, but are all the guys supposed to look more or less the same ?
