Our military budget is 820 billion, so why can’t we spend 15 billion investing in EV infrastructure and push development from U.S. automakers? At this point it seems like a national security issue.

Where did I say dealerships are the sole source of problems for automakers?
I laugh at how Biden, Trump, U. S. and European auto industry execs think/thought they can somehow slow or contain China’s growth and dominance over automobile markets. At least Japan and Korea have the right ideas and attitude for survival. We’ve entered the consequences stage of unchecked corporate greed/dollar as a…
It does make sense, and there is already precedent for it.
I guess the question I’d ask is “Can a VW dealership sell an Audi; can it sell a Porsche; can it sell a Lamborghini” All those are independent brands, owned by VAG. If a VW dealer has no right to those brands, why would they have a right to Scout?
I would question on what legal basis the Feds have for forcing NYC to remove their tolls, then I remembered that “legal basis” plays no part in decisions anymore. This could result in anything from a stern letter of “we said STOP IT!” to actual troops in the streets-type shit. Literally anything.
God, I can smell the photos. I don’t even want to know what kind of parking lot swinging at the Foxfire this has been up to.
...Taycan sales cratered in 2024 because they announced a refresh that was WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the current model. So much better that I stopped even bothering to look at pre-owned Taycan GTSs at sub 50% MSRP.
Close second: “City or highway mile?”
Woof, not even 10k miles. What a bummer. The Komfort was MADE to rack up the miles!
Look at it this way - it’s keeping another one of these POSes off of the street and we’re all safer for it.
So you wanna turn a beautiful car into Just another crossover like everything else. God y’all are boring =(
A $50k Lucid Air is pretty cool, but do you know what is really cool?
It’s sickening to see corporate America, mainstream media and and even democrats lining up to kiss the ring.
Let’s be honest. They didn’t care to make an EV. They did it the same way GM did the EV1, to show they suck. And yes, in the US Rapid Charging infrastructure is greatly behind compares to China and Northern Europe. But Hyundai/Kia seem to be able to produce EVs that are in some ways more advanced (like 800v batteries…
He demanded the cameo to use the hotel for the scene.
I mean, for Connecticut, this is a step in the right direction, given they probably used to just hunt poor people for sport.
Not surprising in the least to anyone who has been paying attention to privacy laws and protections. It isn’t just car companies, it’s every company trying to do this. Our government has failed for decades to enact legislation to protect individual privacy because there is a lot of money that can potentially be made…
As an avid House Hunters fan, the garage door thing is what amazes me most. The people who (usually foolishly) want new construction, all of those houses have tiny-ass garage doors pinched 12" apart, or the fully misleading “double garage”, even on $1 million houses. Isn’t true luxury in a new house not a 1,200 SF…
The best way to prevent terror attacks is to have a well ordered society, with a narrow inequality gap, and comfortable and well adjusted populace. Everything else is an arms race between authoritarians and the disgruntled. Perhaps we could have the former, for a change, instead of the latter?
