High prices and high interest rates suck right now. Who is excited to spend a whole 25 grand and only get a base model civic out of it?

But its not good, Germain. We’ve talked about this already.
That’s a big assumption on the amount of Bakersfield residents that still have teeth.
Man. A lot of people are going to have their root canal and crown appointments canceled.
I’ve absolutely had it with tipping and I’ve almost stopped eating out entirely because of it. We just get take-out (which still asks for a f’ng tip) and eat out maybe once a month at any place that generally would expect a tip. It’s absolutely out of control and needs to stop.
So the thing is, what’s the right rate? Growing up it was 15%, so that’s pretty burned into me, a couple years older and you would probably say 10%. When they started saying the new number was 20 - 22% regardless of the quality of service, the reason was inflation. And that’s the thing I never got, the cost of meals…
Christian nationalism needs to be stamped out by any means possible. It’s a very real threat to our democracy and the American way of life we enjoy.
The company that spreads grass fertilizer at my work has a box asking for a tip amount when you go through their online portal to pay now. It defaults to 20% and you have to pick custom tip to make it say zero.
I have never seen a restaurant even attempt to pay their workers a decent wage. Just because something has been done a specific way before doesn’t make it the right way. And a company choosing to offset costs by forcing the customers to pay their employees directly is not consumer friendly. It isn’t.
We are expected to tip for everything, not just luxury items. A streamer taking advantage of this for “content” doesn’t negate it’s truth.
I’ve always tipped 18-22% at sit-down, full service restaurants. I refuse to tip anything at walk-up places. I don’t know what has changed in the past 10 years to where it’s become the norm for those type of places to solicit for tips- to me it’s such a cynical cash grab.
The issue is, they’ve raised prices faster than inflation and still expect people to tip. Not only are we expected to tip, it pops up automatically on the screen at 25%+, so we actively have to choose to screw over the cashier and look like an asshole if we want to change it. And that’s for pickup! Why am I tipping…
Companies should pay their workers a living wage. Tipping culture is anti-consumer.
I miss when “digital creators” had to have talent. Or a unique voice. Or a unique perspective. Or legitimately any use or function outside of “lol i maed u mad an u clicked.”
Ah yes, the increase is absolutely going to the writers/actors and not into corporate pockets. The ad revenue too! What a benevolent and generous company!
Wwaiting for the following resolution:
Will an executive be going to jail? And not a low level one. Someone at the top. Until that happens, there’s no justice, and things like this will continue to happen because there’s no punishment for wrong doing.
Whatever they actually say in policy doesn’t matter, especially with Trump. What matters is whether Trump comes across as being very visibly in decline or dementia, in a way that goes below even the very low expectations for him going into the debate.
I don’t know why they’re even bothering to pretend like they’re debating (this will not actually be a real debate at all and I hope everyone knows this). Giving these two yahoos a forum to blather on and interrupt each other over and over only serves to further divide the country. Neither are fit for the presidency…
I can’t believe the Google One VPN wasn’t more popular! Next you’ll be telling me whistleblowers shouldn’t CC everyone in their company when reaching out to a journalist or that walking into the local precinct and trying to score an eightball of yayo off the desk sergeant since they’ve got plenty in the lockup isn’t a…
